  Raising the Bar: Year 2

After thorough data analysis and planning, it is time for implementation. Achievement monitoring and instructional leadership bring about the result of improved student achievement. Raising the Bar provides instruction in, modeling of, and coaching on achievement monitoring and instructional leadership, covering the following major skills:

  • Monitoring formative and summative student-achievement data
  • Monitoring process data on solution implementation
  • Conducting instructional walk-throughs
  • Managing the change process and keeping focused
  • Developing a culture of achievement
  • Supporting collegial learning teams
  • Planning for continuous improvement

Consultants work with districts and their schools to help their leadership evolve from a mechanical use of the above skills to a refined use of these skills.

The second year of Raising the Bar services focuses on monitoring implementation of selected research-proven solutions.
